It’s summer time and we are organising a relaxed picnic for the people who don’t usually get to our central London week night events. We are keen for people to come forward, relax and network with other senior professionals in Coram’s Fields which is an excellent park with a great ethos. It’s right in the middle so all the different communities can come together as we did last time.
Mashallah we had Iraqis, Khojas, Iranians, Pakistanis, Reverts etc, and as always some great introductions were made which have helped us in our work and personal lives.
This year we are lucky to have Dr Safina Ali, Surgical Head & Neck Fellow at Guy’s Hospital London on her career journey and Sheikh Ayub, Muslim Community of Essex leader and scholar talking about balancing deen and duniya while raising your children.
The 7 acre park and farm has lots of free activities for children, more information is herehttp://www.coramsfields.org/, we do recommend a change of clothes for the children as the sand pit and the large paddling pool are very popular.
If you have an activity or game you would like to bring along, please let us know, we are looking for volunteers to help out.
